Jessica Lee, Honors Bachelor of Science. Jessica is a motivating mentor and an innovative leader to fellow members for delivering high-quality projects & programs that align with the company's objectives, and an experienced educator for 9-65 years old. The integration of being an educator with analytical experiences allows her to execute educational projects in perspectives that optimize the overall teaching and learning experience.

Zak Aubin

Zak is a graduate of Carleton University with a Bachelor of Music and holds a degree in Interactive Media Design from Algonquin College in Ottawa. As a founding member of YRES, Zak played a pivotal role in establishing the organization's visual identity, including the creation of the YRES logos and other digital arts. His passion for media design drives his commitment to publishing his work for the community, making a lasting impact through creative digital expressions that represent YRES’s mission and values.

Teagan Baboolal, a student in Communications and Design Practice at the University of Waterloo, is the founding designer of YRES Mascot Nova and the winner of the organization's Mascot competition. Passionate about digital design and creative art, Teagan is dedicated to using her skills to benefit the community and is enthusiastic about bringing her innovative work back to support local initiatives.

Jessica Scott, B.Ed, B.Phed., is an advocate for experiential education and a certified Ontario teacher (OCT). With extensive experience in hands-on learning and leadership, she applies these concepts to her work with children and the broader community. Her global travel and work experiences have enhanced her cultural awareness, enabling her to build meaningful connections and enrich learning through experiential education.

Moxi Zhang, Master of Arts, CHRL. Moxi has a great passion in education and helping children to advance in their learning journey. In the last 10+ years Moxi has been working in both public and private educational organizations with a focus on people and culture management. She is also a mom of two and loves spending time with her kids on various activities such as playing the piano, learning multi-languages and doing sports.

Kaitlin Alger is a dedicated educator, mentor and educational advocate. With a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and Global Development along with extensive experience teaching in international contexts, she is equipped to support youth from diverse backgrounds. She is deeply motivated to see youth explore their interests, develop their skills and expand their capacities. She continually maintains a relational focus and individualized approach as she works with youth.

Edel Tolentino (She/Her), is a recent BA Psychology graduate from the University of Waterloo and incoming MEd in Educational Leadership and Policy student at UOfT OISE. Her unique experiences in the arts as a dance instructor combined with her interest in education has shaped her leadership skills and understanding in the field, focusing on the importance of accessible knowledge and fun for all. As a Youth Advisor, she is excited to meet volunteers and ignite their passion for community work and education while developing new skills along the way.

Filipe is truly passionate about his role at YRES and is dedicated to furthering the organization's mission of making educational services accessible to all.

Carson Fong
Camp Director
Carson Fong is the Camp Director at YRES and is passionate about connecting with campers across York Region. He leads a variety of camps, including PA Day Camp, Weekend Camp, March Break Camp, and Summer Camp, having served over 1,000 campers to date. Carson's goal is to offer a unique camp experience that combines Sports and STEAM curriculum within one setting, ensuring that campers have a meaningful and rewarding experience with YRES. His dedication to fostering an enriching environment for all campers is at the core of his leadership.

Jessica Zou leads the YRES Volunteering program, overseeing over 1,500 volunteers. She is responsible for volunteer registration, training, onboarding, and supporting their growth and development throughout the volunteering experience. Jessica is also passionate about education, dedicating herself to teaching children and youth new knowledge and skills that contribute to a lifelong learning experience.

Camp Director
Nioumon Ghazni is the Camp Director at YRES, responsible for training both camp counselors and volunteers. He plays an integral role in the organization by offering expert advice to junior staff while coaching counselors toward success. Nioumon holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Philosophy with a Business Specialization and has successfully led teams of up to 100 individuals. His leadership and guidance have been key in ensuring that staff are well-prepared, confident, and capable of delivering meaningful camp experiences for all participants.

Fairooz Zamaluddin, a fourth-year Psychology student at the University of Toronto, is dedicated to supporting youth development. With hands-on experience in an at-home daycare, she applies her skills as a teaching assistant and volunteer coordinator at YRES. She takes the time to understand each child’s needs, providing personalized support in camps and educational programs. Beyond the classroom, she organizes volunteer opportunities for individuals of all ages, helping them gain valuable experience. Her passion for education and community engagement continues to inspire young learners and future leaders across York Region.

Neeha Baral (Bachelor of Science) is a web developer at YRES with a unique background involving 4+ years of experience in the education field. She has planned, designed and tested multiple full-stack web application projects through her completion of Lighthouse Labs’ recognized web developer bootcamp. At YRES she is responsible for carrying out and overseeing all web updates, maintenance, debugging, and has also successfully lead multiple web dev co-op teams.

Mikayla Ross is a second year Honours Biology student at the University of Waterloo with a passion for education and youth development. As an HR Coordinator and Teaching Assistant, she plays a key role in managing high school co-op students and conducting interviews to support the company’s hiring process. In addition to her HR responsibilities, she actively engages with young learners through programs like the March Break Camp and the Young Scientist Program. She is passionate about creating a supportive and engaging environment where children can thrive in their education and develop a love for learning.

Brian Philip, an Honors BSc candidate in Psychology and Health Sciences, is a dedicated clinical care professional and educator. Through his work at RhynoCare and the Education Bank, he has developed strong empathy and patience, especially in supporting elderly residents. He also leads the Lego Robotics Programs across York Region, designing curricula and hosting sessions to inspire young learners in technology and teamwork.
