On June 13, 2024, YRES joined Corrina Santos from Volunteer Connect in showcasing volunteering opportunities from YRES and other non-profit organizations to new immigrants at the Welcome Centre Immigrant Services. We were honoured to have the opportunity to represent YRES to share the programs and opportunities we have to offer.
Corrina Santos shared the resources offered by Volunteer Connect and shared the significance of volunteering through her very own experience. We continued in sharing what we have to offer for children, youth, and adults, including language programs, STEAM programs, and camps on both virtual and in-person platforms.
It was a significant opportunity to meet newcomers to Canada and offer a volunteering platform to help them integrate into the community and meet new people.
