The event will take place on December 6, 2025, at the Markham Aaniin Community Center

The Christmas Gift Drive 2025 is a community initiative focused on collecting and distributing supplies to bring warmth and joy to families in need during the festive season. It aims to reduce financial barriers, promote equity, and empower families through support and access to essential items.

  • Donors contribute school supplies or monetary donations.

  • Volunteers help sort, organize, and distribute supplies.

  • Families pick up the items at the giveaway event.

Any family with children in need of supplies is welcome to attend. No registration is required. Supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Yes. We accept gently used, clean, and fully functional items.

We’re committed to reducing waste and promoting eco-conscious giving by:

  • Accepting gently used and upcycled school supplies

  • Distributing items in reusable, non-plastic tote bags

  • Using recyclable and compostable materials during the event

  • Partnering with eco-friendly businesses and organizations

We welcome volunteers of all ages, including high school and university students (community service hours available), families, and corporate teams. Volunteer roles include:

  • Sorting and organizing donations

  • Promoting the drive online and in person

  • Assisting during the event
