Students will be placed on the waitlist if a location is at maximum capacity.

Late Fees

Pick up must be completed at 4 PM. There is a charge of $1 / min for late fees if you did not previously pay for before/after-care. For example, if you came at 4:35 PM, you will be charged $35 in late fees (because camp closes at 4 PM).

Is there meal plan or extended care?

No, there is no meal plan or extended care for March Break Camp.

Question 4

Age Range?

The campers are 5-10 years old at the time of camp. For example, if the children's birthday is before March 15, 2016 or after March 19, 2022, it's outside the range and we are unable to accommodate at this time.

Refunds, Transfer, and Cancel Policy?

All requests for refunds, transfers, and cancellations must be submitted in writing via e-mail to camp@yorkeducation.ca. Please see chart below on refunds, transfers, and cancellations policy.To cancel camp 7 days prior to start: 100% refund with a $50 processing fee.To cancel camp within 7 days: Written request + medical certificate required for a 70% refund of missed days.Late arrivals, early pick-ups, or missed camp days: No refund.

What payment methods do you accept?

As an NPO, e-Transfer is our default and preferred method. You can e-transfer the fee to camp@yorkeducation.ca after reviewing the confirmation/quote email. If you prefer to pay by credit card, you can request a payment link (a processing fee for credit card payments will apply).

Can I come pay in person?

You may come in-person and our staff will assist you. However please note that we do not accept cash payment. If you need assistance in-person, please book an appointment through email at camp@yorkeducation.ca.

Referrals

We offer a $50 coupon for each family referral. Referrals will be processed after the registration period has closed.

Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC)

CWELCC is an incredible program that has the goal of offering childcare for a low average cost. However, this program is only applicable for daycare centres and unfortunately, we are not part of the childcare system.

Is there any financial assistance for the program?

Accepted Answer

Canadian Tire Jumpstart®: A community-based charitable program that helps kids age 4 to 18 participate in organized sports and recreation programs.
Children are eligible for up to $600 per calendar year; a maximum $300 for the same sport.
Programs must encourage physical activity.
Funding is available for members of the same family for the same season.

YRES Scholarship

YRES Scholarship Fund recipient may receive 100% coverage for the camp. Please check our website for regular updates. The YRES Scholarship is not guaranteed every year, and it is dependent on funding from donors.

Is there a referral or sibling discount?

Yes, we offer a $50 coupon for each family you refer. Referrals will be processed after the registration period closes. There is no sibling discount, as our rates are already highly affordable.

How big is the class?

We plan to assign 15-20 campers per classroom and the staff-to-camper ratio is 1:4.

Does  your camp support students with special needs?

While we strive to create an inclusive and positive environment, we do not have structured resources such as dedicated one-to-one support or specialized staff. For the safety of our campers, staff, and your child, we ask that campers are able to participate independently without one-to-one support. If you need assistance, please reach out to us at camp@yorkeducation.ca. We can connect you with a community partner who may be able to provide the support you need.

Behaviour and Respect Policy

Upon registration, campers are expected to demonstrate safe and positive behaviour throughout their time at camp. This includes following camp rules such as:Showing kindness towards fellow campers and staff.Respecting others' belongings and personal space.Following all safety rules and guidelines for each activity. This includes carefully listening to and following instructions from camp counselors and using equipment properly.Camp staff will address inappropriate behavior with appropriate consequences, which may include a warning, or loss of privileges. If a camper breaks the rules outlined in this form, staff will facilitate a discussion with the camper and parents about the inappropriate behaviour and how to manage it going forward. Please note that in the case of repeated offences that go against the camp rules above, campers may be asked to be picked up early from camp.At YRES, we foster an environment that does not tolerate bullying, discrimination, or harassment as well as prioritizing safety for campers, staff, and volunteers. In the case that the offences continue following discussion with the families and implementation of camper support, campers may have their registration withdrawn in accordance to our refund policy. Furthermore, YRES reserves the right to immediately withdraw a camper’s registration in cases of severe behavioral infractions or safety threats.
