YRES enjoyed a night of celebration with the Markham Board of Trade and other outstanding organizations and businesses at the 34th annual Business Excellence Awards Gala on November 28, 2024. YRES was nominated and progressed to the finalist stage for the Community Relations and Cultural Enrichment Award. 

Although we did not take home the winning award, we are deeply honoured to have been recognized as a finalist and to have shared the stage with so many inspiring organizations. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team and the support we have received from the community. 

Community drives our contributions, from participation in our programs to in-kind donations and valuable partnerships to execute events. We started with a mission to make education accessible and affordable to everyone around us. Since our founding in 2022, we have launched and expanded a wide range of language, STEAM, volunteering, and camp programs. We can achieve nothing without the contributions of our community. 

We are excited about the future and look forward to continuing to serve the Markham community with the same fiery passion and dedication in the years to come. Here’s to what lies ahead in 2025 and beyond!
