From July 7 to August 15, 2025, York Region Educational Services hosted an unforgettable summer camp for children aged 5 to 12. Packed with exciting activities and endless opportunities for fun, our camp offered the perfect balance of play, learning, and friendship.

Campers stayed active through a variety of sports, including basketball, soccer, and dance, while also building teamwork through exciting challenges like the KEVA Bridge Competition and the Egg Drop Challenge. Each day, they engaged in hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities designed to spark curiosity and strengthen problem-solving skills. Weekly workshops led by local community organizations, such as firefighters and police officers, offered valuable real-world insights and experiences.

Throughout the summer, campers explored new interests, built lasting friendships, and created memories to last a lifetime. None of this would have been possible without our dedicated YRES staff and volunteers, who helped create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all.

As the summer comes to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to every camper who joined us for this incredible journey. We loved having you with us and can’t wait to see you again in 2026!

Our campers enjoyed a week filled with exciting adventures, from sports activities like basketball to creative arts and team-building challenges such as the Keva Plank Challenge. Under the guidance of our dedicated camp leaders, including Carson, Flora, Lily, Cindy, Tanya, Jason and Angelica, campers explored new interests, built lasting friendships, and created cherished memories.

Recapping the Week:

Each day began with energizing activities during our morning team building sessions, followed by snack breaks to refuel and outdoor recess for fun and games. Our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities sparked curiosity and creativity, while recreational sports promoted physical fitness and sportsmanship.

On July 25, brace yourselves for some explosive fun with our Exploding Popsicle Sticks activity! Create mini rockets and watch them soar into the sky.

July 26 is all about adventure and exploration with our Scavenger Hunt! Put your detective skills to the test as you search for hidden treasures around camp.

Strike a pose and say cheese on July 29 as we unveil our Mojo Selfie Booth! Capture fun memories with friends and strike your best poses with our beloved camp mascot.
